3:05Now PlayingThe Federal Government has given some conditions for the reopening of the nation’s border, including a demand that all warehouses on the border between Nigeria and other West African countries must be shut down.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Geoffrey Onyeama, who spoke with journalists in Abuja, added that all ECOWAS countries must respect rules of origin, vowing that Nigeria will no longer tolerate repackaging of imported goods.
Another condition given by the minister is that goods coming into the country must have 50 percent local input from the country of origin, which must be an ECOWAS country.
