Justice Mohammed Liman wondered at the speedy filing of the motion for bail, when the appeal against Mr. Kalu's conviction has not been heard.
Mr. Kalu had filed an application for post-conviction bail, pending his appeal against his jail sentence, based on health grounds, which he claims medical facilities in the prison could not handle.
