This was the thrust of discussions at a three-day workshop for security personnel in Kaduna state organized by the office of the National Security Adviser in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as part of efforts to curb all forms of human rights abuses or brutality by security agents when
carrying out their constitutional duties.
The Training which is to expose the security personnel on the role of human rights law and practice in the Prevention of Violent Extremism (PVE), is coming in the aftermath of the recent nationwide protests against police brutality.
