2:27Now PlayingThe Minister for Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Faruq, has reaffirmed President Muhammadu Buhari’s resolve to lift 100 million Nigerians out of poverty in ten years.
The Minister gave the assurance in Gusau, the Zamfara state capital during the distribution of engagement letters and devices to the trained independent monitors said, the President has already introduced lots of programs to that effect.
The Minister said her ministry had already trained 5000 independent monitors across the country who would closely monitor all the programs introduced by President Buhari which were aimed at poverty eradication.
She stated that the devices were equipped with an application that would be used to report on the monitoring activities of the trained independent monitors.
She said that each of the beneficiaries would be given N30,0000 monthly allowance for a period of one year adding that each of them has been stationed in his locality to make things easy for them.
She called on the independent monitors to make sure that, they discharge their duties diligently warning that, her ministry would closely monitor the independent monitors right from Abuja, adding that, she would not hesitate to remove any one of them found wanting.
