The sponsor of the bills, Hon Olusegun Odebunmi, who is the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Information, National Orientation, Ethics and Values says he seeks to strengthen press freedom but like a dartboard, many have hurled criticisms at his proposal.
But what is in this bill, why the controversy, and who will benefit from it if it is eventually passed into law?
