Located in the Eti-Osa Local government, Lekki was developed by the military.
The properties in Lekki are expensive and also in high demand. The heavy commercial activities in Lagos are gradually creeping into many zones of the community, initially designed to be residential. The neighborhood plays host to popular restaurants, shopping malls/plazas, boutiques, hotels, etc.
But there's a lot more about the community than what visitors see, the residents say Lekki is losing its old glory and the challenges are becoming overwhelming. They say they are battling: Security challenges, Unregulated commercial activities, Water problems, etc.
