A factional national publicity secretary of the party, Abayomi Arabambi at a press briefing held in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital said that the call is capable of undermining the nation's democracy and breach of peace
He maintained that those asking for a halt in the proposed swearing-in of the president-elect, Bola Tinubu are doing so for their personal interests and not the collective interest of the Labour party
He said that a refusal to swear in Tinubu as president will create a vacuum in the system, which the law abhors, saying that From President Obasanjo to Yar'Adua to Jonathan to Buhari, this has remained the law and the system, why should the position change now, when the law has not been changed
He however reiterated that Labour Party will continue to pursue its matters in court with all vigour and whether the president-elect is sworn in or not, the victory will surely come the way of the Labour Party
