3:22Now PlayingLast month, the British Museum returned several gold artefacts it had on display which were stolen from the court of the Asante king during 19th century conflicts between the British and Asante people.
They are now back home after 150 years but only temporarily.
The objects were recently unveiled at the Manhyia Palace Museum in Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti region.
However, some people are unhappy that it’s only a temporary, 3-year loan as UK legal restrictions don’t allow the permanent return of looted artefacts in British museums. Back home where they belong after 150 years.
