21:43Now PlayingThe Military has announced an improvement in crude oil production, in the wake of renewed efforts of security agencies to curb crude theft and pipeline vandalism in the country.
Addressing a news conference in Abuja, the Director, Defence Media Operations Major General Edward Buba who disclosed this says Security forces will continue sustain the offensive to shore up oil production in order to meet the Federal Government's target of two point two million barrels per day.
General Buba adds that during the week under review, troops neutralised 147 terrorists and arrested 381 persons.
The Troops equally arrested 23 perpetrators of oil theft and rescued 113 kidnapped hostages just as they denied the oil theft of the estimated sum of Nine Hundred and Forty Three Million One Hundred and Sixty One Thousand Six Hundred and Eighty Naira (N943,161,680.00) only.
