0:35Now PlayingIt was a moment of mild tension this morning at the Port Harcourt International Airport when an Air Peace flight from Lagos veered slightly off the runway shortly after landing.
The aircraft, operating as Flight P47190, had completed its journey from Lagos without incident—until the runway excursion during taxiing. According to a statement from the airline, all passengers disembarked safely and without injury. The aircraft itself sustained no damage.
Air Peace spokesperson Osifo-Whiskey Efe described the situation as a minor operational occurrence and praised the professionalism of the flight crew as well as the calm response from passengers. “We regret any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate the composure of all passengers on board,” the statement read.
