4:10Now PlayingThe Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, has assured the Kebbi State Government that investigations are ongoing to determine the reasons behind the withdrawal of soldiers prior to the abduction of students of Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School, Maga, in Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
The Minister gave the assurance during a courtesy visit to Governor Nasir Idris at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi.
In his remarks, Governor Nasir Idris called on the Minister to investigate lapses by security agencies which led to the abduction of the Maga schoolgirls. He noted that the state government has continued to support the military and other security agencies, stressing that the incident at Maga came as a surprise to many people in Kebbi.
