YouTube Description

as posted by the channel

Shanghai Jiao Tong University has developed a hexapod robot “guide dog” that assists the blind. The robot can follow instructions, identify obstacles, navigate steps, and even recognize traffic lights.

With three interactive modes - hearing, touching, and kinesthetics - the robot can respond quickly to voice commands within one second. The attached crutch provides support and allows for human-machine interaction, enabling the robot to guide the person’s movement.

Additionally, the person can adjust the robot’s speed by using the blind crutch. Unlike real guide dogs, the robot can see colors and identify traffic lights accurately.
