The FTC is trying to break up Meta, accusing the social media giant of creating an unfair monopoly by snapping up smaller companies like Instagram and WhatsApp in recent years.

Sheryl Sandberg, the former chief operating officer of Meta, was questioned by FTC lawyers today as the second witness at the trial.

Cheddar Correspondent Margaret Chabourn has been following the case, which she reports has so far largely focused on internal emails from Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
