0:30Now PlayingVertical Aerospace is showcasing its Valo electric air taxi in New York City. The Valo is a piloted electric aircraft designed to carry four passengers up to 100 miles at speeds of 150 mph with zero operating emissions, and this marks its first U.S. appearance following its London unveiling last month.
Alongside the showcase, Vertical announced plans for electric air taxi routes in and around Manhattan in partnership with Bristow Group and Skyports Infrastructure, including airport transfers from JFK, event travel to venues like MetLife Stadium, leisure routes to East Hampton, cross-town transfers between Manhattan heliports, and aerial sightseeing tours.
The aircraft is targeting certification by 2028 with plans to enter commercial service after regulatory approval, and this NYC tour is part of Vertical’s broader effort to engage with customers, investors, and regulators ahead of that launch.
