as posted by the channel

China's Supreme People's Court has just announced (via one post on their microblog) that they won't accept any more confessions through torture! That's great news! Except for the fact the courts have no power over the police, who are doing the torturing. And the Supreme People's Court has no power over the courts. That's really the Communist Party's department. And they've said this before and nothing happened. And if anything, there have been a lot of public confessions lately. And they're still torturing officials in the shanggui systems. Okay, you know what? Forget it. I'm going home.
