as posted by the channelA leading psychiatrist was FIRED for expressing concern about gender reassignment surgeries for minors Dr. Allan Josephson was terminated from the University of Louisville in 2019 for expressing concerns about gender dysphoria and surgeries for gender dysphoric minors.
But these comments didn’t take place in the classroom — Dr. Josephson made these comments on a panel for the Heritage Foundation outside of his university work. And the school terminated him and didn’t deny that it fired him over those specific comments.
Well… that’s a clear cut case of free speech and the university just violated that right. Thankfully the court ruled that Dr. Josephson DID have his rights infringed, so free speech isn’t dead. But tolerance for views is a two-way street.
