1:38Now PlayingIt’s been alleged that Buffalo Public Schools engaged in a cover up of an alleged kidnapping at magnet school located near the Buffalo Museum of Science. On Feb. 11, police were alerted to an assault in progress inside the Charles Drew Science Magnet school and police confirmed that a man had entered the school through a door shared between the school and the museum and that man approached a young student.
Police claim that an assistant principal intervened and when the man “punched and shoved” the assistant principal and then fled back into the museum where police found him. The man was identified as 30-year-old Shane Cronin of Lombard, Illinois. He was initially charged with a felony count of burglary and three misdemeanors, including endangering the welfare of a child.
So this story is sad, but it took on a whole new life when a Special Victims Unit officer from Buffalo named Richard Hy went on the Unsubscribe Podcast and alleged that the man who broke in wasn’t just breaking in — he actually attempted to abduct two children, a boy and a girl, and the family of the boy wasn’t informed by the school under after the District Attorney’s Office was informed.
In that same podcast, the SVU detective alleged that surveillance video of the incident had been deleted; leading people to believe that the Buffalo Public Schools was engaging in a cover up.
