While open relationships, polyamory, and “ethical non-monogamy” have become more normalized in LGBT circles, I’ve found that monogamy still offers something most people secretly want: emotional safety, clarity, and commitment. That doesn’t mean the other models are inherently wrong, but they’re not for me.
This isn’t about shaming anyone’s choices. It’s about talking honestly about mine, and why I choose monogamy.
