High Level Champions for COP25 and COP26 Nigel Topping (UK) and Gonzalo Muñoz (Chile) make their opening and closing remarks at the session hosted by the World Economic Forum on climate and insustry on the morning of Tuesday 10th November 2020.

Event description:

Hard-to-abate industry sectors, such as steel, aluminium, cement, chemicals, aviation, shipping and trucking, are responsible for nearly one-third of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Thus, they have a vital role to play in meeting the Paris Agreement objective of limiting global warming to well below 2°C. Join industry, trade union and government leaders to mobilize action on accelerating a fair and inclusive net-zero industry transition, scale up commitments and impact, and drive tangible outcomes at COP26.

This session is hosted by the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC), Mission Possible Platform (MPP) and the World Economic Forum. Watch the full session
