Carter fulfilled his promise after Ford died in 2006. At Carter’s funeral, Ford’s son, Steven Ford, realized his end of the deal. “God did a good thing when he made your dad,” Steven Ford told the Carter children. He then read from a letter that Gerald Ford had written for Carter. #CNN #News
