Boothroy says he first boarded the Missouri in February of 1945 when he was 19 years old. He recalls what life was like on the “Mighty Mo,” sailing close to a typhoon and watching as members of the Japanese Imperial Government boarded the Missouri on September 2, 1945, to take part in the surrender ceremony. #CNN #News
