To be successful, Democrats will need to defend all their seats and flip four others, including many in deep-red territory.
At this point in the cycle, there are nine states that will likely determine control of the Senate come November: Six are currently held by Republicans while three belong to Democrats. CNN's Arlette Saenz ranks the seats in her analysis.
