The Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) is trying to regain control over southern Lebanon through a US-backed framework meant to transition control of Lebanese territory currently occupied by Israeli forces — known as "pilot zones."
CNN's Jeremy Diamond exclusively joined the Lebanese army on patrol to one of those areas.
