Captain Jan Dobrogowski says the death is believed to be due to “natural causes.” Oceanwide Expeditions, the ship’s operator, said in a statement, “At the time of the announcement, the cause of death of this individual was unknown.” At the time of publication, the cause still wasn’t confirmed to be hantavirus.
