According to the police, the perpetrator of the Nashville school shooting had meticulously planned the attack over several months and fired a total of 152 rounds during the mass shooting.
126 -- were 5.56 rifle rounds,
and 26 were 9 mm rounds.
They fired 152 rounds, and you want me to walk around with only 8-10 rounds in my gun?
Millions of magazines are out there already, and you can't tell me that someone planning mass murder will limit themselves to just 10 rounds.
Even if there were only 10-round magazines available, they could easily obtain multiple magazines.
So, what are we supposed to do when the next shooting happens because this person had 30 10-round magazines?
Limit ourselves to two magazines? This is stupid.
High capacity magazines aren't the issue; it's that these attackers have the time to plan and prepare.
We, the regular people who carry firearms for protection, have to react when an attack happens.
This person fired 152 rounds, and I can only shoot 10 rounds back at them?
Allow people to carry as many rounds as they want to protect themselves.
We don't know what will happen, and we need to be prepared. Why make it harder on us by limiting us to eight to ten rounds?
Think about why you vote for these laws.
I know you want to feel like you're doing something?
Doing something is good, but we need to ask if it's helping or hurting.
Even if someone has to reload, I only have eight to ten rounds, and I might not have the opportunity to shoot them. So, let us carry as many rounds as we see fit
