What would you do if your 15-year-old son pulled a gun on you after you confronted him about stealing from you?
I don't have kids, so my perspective is different, but when I imagine the love I would have for my child if I had one, I don't think I have a good answer to this question, but I'm going to try anyway.
I assume anyone who pulls a gun on me is willing to kill me right then and there, so I'm going to do whatever it takes to defend myself immediately at the moment.
That may be simply holding my hands up and throwing myself at the mercy of my son, who has a gun already drawn on me.
Maybe I try to disarm him if I see an opportunity and as much as i tried, I couldn't let my mind go to the other option.
However, one thing is for certain, and two things are for sure, I will not and could not ever sleep under the same roof with a son who pulled a gun on me.
Stealing from me, I can forgive and even forget.
Even fighting me, I can forgive, maybe even forget, but with your sober mind, pulling a gun on me and saying you'll shoot me, yeah, at that point, you're no longer my son until proven otherwise.
I'm also calling the cops, and you're going to jail.
I'm pretty sure I can say this so easily because I don't have kids.
