Some people who choose to open carry think it’s a deterrent to criminals. And for some, sure, you’re right. But you must realize we’re dealing with a different breed of criminals now.

Many people don’t understand that these kids just don’t care.

Shooting, killing—it’s almost like a game to them. Trying to snatch a gun off your waist? That’s light work.

If they see you, a civilian, open carrying, you’re a target, not a deterrent.

They’re probably laughing at you because they know they’re about to take it from you. This isn’t me judging anyone who chooses to open-carry. I’m just giving you the reality of how things are on the street.

Now, for my gun enthusiasts who prefer to open carry, let this video be a precautionary tale if you decide to open carry in the city.

As I said before, I’m not philosophically against open carry—I’m just not a tactical fan of it. I’ve always held that position for myself.

However, if you decide to open carry, especially in the city, just be aware of the reality. Open carrying in an urban environment has limitations and potential perils.

I’m not saying this to judge you—I'm saying it to give you a heads-up.

If you’re going to open carry, you better have some type of retention system on your holster, and even then, be ready to fight to keep that gun.

They see you as food, and your gun doesn’t scare them because they’ve got guns too—likely with switches and 30-round mags that make them feel invincible.

So, yeah, they’re going to do brazenly stupid stuff to get what they want, and you won’t even see it coming.

If you open carry, know that you’re being watched by everyone. I don’t have a problem with open carry, but I’m not naive.

It’s not common to see, so when people do see it, they’re paying attention to you.

And a lot of places where it’s legal? Most people don’t even know it’s legal. So, you stand out.

That’s why I always tell people—get yourself some legal protection.

And that’s where something like USCCA comes in.

It’s not just about having a gun; it’s about knowing the laws and protecting yourself from the legal aftermath. USCCA provides education, training, and self-defense insurance for law-abiding gun owners. Because let’s face it, even when you’re in the right, legal battles can be just as stressful and dangerous as the actual incident itself.

I personally choose USCCA because they don’t just give you the tools to defend yourself—they give you the knowledge to stay out of situations like this in the first place.

Even if you don't go with USCCA, go with something because you don't want to have to face the legal system alone.

I think USCCA is the best, which is why I work with them, and they do offer my followers special FREE bonuses to become a member with a 365-day money-back guarantee.
