35 Murdered In Mass Vehicle Ramming, 4 Days Later 8 Murdered In Mass Stabbing In China

People love to say, “America is so dangerous with all these shootings! You don’t see this happening in other countries because they don’t have guns like we do.” And they’ll add, “Even if there is violence, the death toll isn’t nearly as high.” Well, this just happened in China.

35 people are dead, 43 more are injured. And not one shot was fired. We’re looking at a 62-year-old man, angry about his divorce settlement, driving his car into a crowd outside a sports complex.

This is big news locally, but where’s the international outrage? Where are the calls to restrict or ban cars? Instead, we see the Chinese government doing what they do best—controlling the narrative.

The reporter describes how officials “organized locals to keep journalists away from the scene.”

We take this freedom for granted here in the U.S., where the press can cover these stories openly.

And just when you think this couldn’t get any worse…

Four days after that car attack, we have another tragedy.

This time, it’s 8 people killed and 17 injured in a knife attack at a vocational college. The attacker?

A young man who didn’t pass his exams and was frustrated with his job. And again—no gun involved. This time, it’s a knife.

The horror is just as real, just as tragic, and just as deadly.

The Chinese government is actively scrubbing information. The reporter says, “Authorities reacted by scrubbing the internet of such comments and articles” , leaving the Chinese people in the dark about just how common these attacks have become.

We also have our Second Amendment, which ensures people have the means to defend themselves if the worst happens. But in China, civilians have no options, no ability to protect themselves. When an attacker decides to lash out, everyone around him is defenseless.

Now, imagine if someone in those crowds had been armed. Just one person, able to protect themselves and others, could have saved lives.

But in a country with such strict gun control, civilians are left vulnerable.

The reporter even points out how “personal safety is a cherished value”, but how are people supposed to feel safe when they cannot defend themselves against an attack?
