It’s been a minute… but we’re back with a First Mag — and we’re doing it at the Staccato Ranch.
Today’s subject: Staccato C4X.
I shot the previous version and thought, “Okay… this feels interesting.”
But this one? This one needed its own video.
The C4X takes Staccato’s HD4 concept (their “2011 that runs Glock mags”) and refines it. Compact grip. 4-inch barrel. Integrated comp. Slim profile. And somehow… it shoots way bigger than it looks.

Ergonomics (this magwell is doing WORK)
The comp performance (flat without obnoxious concussion)
Balance and front-weight feel
Why it transitions better than it should
Iron sights forward of the optic (and why I actually like it)

Usually guns this size get flippy. Usually they’re a compromise.
This one? It’s goofy how easy it is to run at 25–30 yards.
It feels small in hand — but shoots like a much larger gun.
We might be in the golden age of carry guns, and this might be one of the most balanced “do-it-all” setups Staccato has made.
