Imagine defending your life from two men who followed you to your car, ambushed you in a parking lot, and allegedly threatened you with a gun…
Then the judge agrees it was self-defense.
But the state still turns you into a felon because you didn’t have the right Illinois carry license.
That’s exactly what happened in Quincy, Illinois. The shooting charges were dropped, but the gun possession charge stuck — which means a man who legally defended his life may now lose his gun rights, his FOID card, his future job opportunities, and potentially face prison time.
