as posted by the channel

A Tulsa man was forced to make a life-or-death decision after an intruder kicked in his door at midnight and ended up face-to-face with him in his living room.

Gavin Bogle says he saw the suspect peeking in his windows, grabbed his gun, went downstairs, gave a verbal command, and only fired when the man ignored him and started reaching.

One shot.

The intruder ran off with a bullet wound to the chest — and then still fought police, punched a K-9, bit one officer, scratched another, and spit in another officer’s face before being taken into custody.

So ask yourself this:

If it took multiple officers, pepper balls, and a police dog to stop this man after he had already been shot, what was he going to do to Gavin and his family if Gavin didn’t have a gun?

This is why “just call the police” is not a defense plan.

Calling 911 matters. But the gun is what keeps you alive in the gap.

The gun didn’t make Gavin dangerous.

It made him equal to the threat that kicked in his door.
