Hit-And-Run Driver Pulls Gun On Father With Kids In The Car

A father was driving in Atlanta with his three kids in the car when a woman allegedly hit his vehicle on I-20, crossed multiple lanes, and took off.

He called police and followed long enough to try to get her license plate.

Then everything escalated.

According to the report, the woman stopped, got out of the car, became belligerent, pulled a gun, and fired a shot near the father and his children.

That’s when this went from a hit-and-run to a life-or-death situation.

This is the kind of story every armed citizen needs to think through before it happens.

Because two things can be true at the same time:

She was wrong for hitting his car and running.

And following someone after a crash can put you in a situation you may not be able to control.

When emotions are high, ego is loud, and your kids are in the back seat, the decisions you make in those next few seconds matter.

Awareness is the first line of defense.

The gun is the last.

And the goal is not to win an argument, prove a point, or force accountability out of someone who may already be unstable.

The goal is to make it home with your family.
