YouTube Description
as posted by the channelBallistic High Speed lined up a concrete block and ran everything through it: 9mm, .45 ACP, .223, .308, 12-gauge slug, and .50 BMG.
And honestly, it exposes something most people get wrong about bullets.
We give some rounds powers they don’t actually have, and we sleep on others that will absolutely ruin your day.
The 9mm is the round a lot of us trust our lives to, including me. But when you watch it hit concrete, it reminds you real quick that handgun rounds are not death rays. Shot placement still matters more than internet caliber debates.
Then comes the .45 ACP — the so-called hammer of the gods — and it does almost the same thing the 9mm did. A little more crack, a little more chunk, but not the mythical difference people pretend exists.
Then there’s the .223, the round the news treats like it destroys worlds. But on that concrete block, it gets humbled fast. Is it powerful? Absolutely. It’s small, light, and stupid fast. But it is not magic, and it is not the cartoon demon bullet the media sells to people.
The real shift happens when you get to .308.
That’s where the block starts coming apart. And that’s the irony: the .308 lives in “grandpa’s deer rifle,” the old hunting gun nobody panics over, while the scary black rifle throwing .223 gets treated like the end of civilization.
Then the 12-gauge slug shows up and moves the whole block.
Then .50 BMG shows up and the block basically stops existing.
That’s the point of the whole video.
The media has people terrified of the wrong bullets. Handgun rounds aren’t magic. The .45 isn’t Thor’s hammer. The .223 isn’t a nuclear weapon. And the real monsters often live in guns nobody is scared enough of because they don’t look politically scary.
Next time somebody tells you a bullet is magic, show them a concrete block.
Ballistic High Speed: Go follow them.
Stay dangerous.
