Our argument is not a new one: that western intellectuals who purport to be anti-imperialist often do the work of imperialism by bothsidesing human rights abuses and war crimes, thereby manufacturing consent or at least fostering an information atmosphere of moral confusion so people find it challenging to pick a side. This directly aids and abets both Imperialism and the War State. Enjoy!
