as posted by the channel🔝🏰 From the heights of the tower, we stood, armed with two M2HBs, scanning the horizon. The other two towers, they were equipped with 240 Golfs. 🏌️♂️💥 I was an old machine gunner, a relic from a bygone era, but still ready for action. 💪🔫
Then came the question, 'Can you shoot mortars?' I responded with a confident nod, 'I went to Mortimer's School at Camp Pendleton.' 🎯🏫 A new guy in the field, but not new to the game. They showed me the Waterman pit, and I was ready to make some noise. 💣🕳️
The plan was simple: Boom! Target line bubbled up, and we were ready to go. 🎯💥 The fallback plan? Back to the mortar pit, melt the machine guns after they're all out of ammo. 🔥🔫
I realized two things right away: One, I was still a team guy. 🤝👥 And two, I was still a gun guy. 🔫💪 The thought of running around here with no gun was not an option. 🏃♂️❌🔫
This is the tale of an old machine gunner, a tale of courage, camaraderie, and the call of duty. A tale of towers, mortars, and machine guns. A tale of a soldier who never backed down, who stood his ground and fought with all his might. 🎖️🇺🇸💥
