Progressives like Jimmy Carter praised Hugo Chavez for creating a socialist utopia in Venezuela. Today, we are seeing the fruits of those efforts. The country is falling a part as people can't even get toilet paper or diapers for their children. Ideas have consequences, and the Venezuelan people are now experiencing the horrific reality of socialism in practice.
