Did The Russian Mobsters Kill This Curious Journalist? | Susan Walsh's Disappearance
Susan Walsh, a former stripper and investigative journalist, went missing on July 16, 1996, after she dropped off her son with her estranged husband. She had reportedly been sober for several years, but went back to stripping to support her son after her separation. As a journalist, she uncovered a story about Russian mobsters forcing young immigrant women to work in strip clubs as slaves. She later investigated vampire nightclubs but never published the story. She disappeared two days after a friend last saw her and has not been found. There are different theories about what happened to her, including the possibility that her disappearance was linked to the Russian mafia or that she became addicted to drugs.
