as posted by the channelLIVE COURT CAM: Judge Jennifer Dorow will set a sentencing date for Darrell Brooks and go over logistics ahead of that sentencing. Brooks is expected to be present in the courtroom.
UPDATE: Sentencing for Darrell Brooks is scheduled for November 15 at 830 am CST/930 am ET and tentatively 1 pm CST/2 pm ET on November 16.
A jury deliberated a little over three hours convicting Brooks on all 76 counts on October 26 in the Waukesha Christmas parade attack that occurred on November 21, 2021.
He faces a mandatory life sentence for the six first-degree intentional homicide convictions and over 800 years for the other counts. Dorow will decide the punishments and whether any or all of them will be concurrent or consecutive to others.
During the sentencing, victims and their families will be allowed to make impact statements. Brooks will have an opportunity to address the court.
Brooks can appeal his convictions after sentencing. According to Wisconsin law, he has 20 days to file a notice of appeal.
