3:45:12Now PlayingLIVE: Michigan prosecutors are asking for 10 to 15 years in prison at the sentencing of the first parents in the U.S. to be held criminally responsible for a school shooting. Jennifer and James Crumbley, the parents of shooter Ethan Crumbley, were both convicted earlier this year at separate trials of four counts of involuntary manslaughter for their roles in the 2021 Oxford High School shooting that left four students dead and seven others injured.
The maximum prison stay for their crimes is 15 years. But the minimum sentence set by the judge on April 9 will be critical because with the 2.5 years credit for time spent in the Oakland County Jail, the Crumbleys would be eligible for parole consideration after that time.
