Massachusetts woman Judy Church is set to be sentenced after being found guilty of murdering her boyfriend, Leroy Fowler, by poisoning him with antifreeze. A jury convicted her of second-degree murder and related charges, concluding that she administered ethylene glycol—the toxic chemical found in antifreeze—before calling 911 and claiming Fowler was suffering a medical emergency and “must have ingested something.” An autopsy later confirmed Fowler died from ethylene glycol poisoning, and she now faces sentencing in the case.
