43:01Now PlayingIn November 2012, 13-year-old Dylan Redwine flew to the Durango area of Colorado for a court-ordered Thanksgiving visit with his father, Mark Redwine, and was never seen alive again. As searches swept the rugged wilderness near Vallecito and a Dr. Phil appearance turned the family's conflict national, investigators zeroed in on Mark after traces of Dylan's blood were found in his living room and cadaver dogs hit on his truck and clothing. Dylan's partial remains were found about seven months later miles from Mark's home, and his skull, discovered in 2015, showed signs of blunt-force trauma. A key motive emerged: Dylan had discovered deeply compromising photos of his father and confronted him about them, triggering a violent rage. In 2021, a jury convicted Mark Redwine of second-degree murder and child abuse resulting in death. He was sentenced to 48 years.
