Dr. Quinton described multiple bruises and broken bones, noting that Alexavier’s ribs were visible and his eyes appeared sunken—signs consistent with dehydration. He also testified that melatonin and Xanax were present in the child’s system at the time of his death. He ruled Alex’s death a homicide.
