Prosecutors said the victim was murdered so Brandon Gaston and his girlfriend, Tracey Clark, could take control of Schattie's home and financial assets. A jury found Gaston guilty of first-degree intentional homicide as a party to the crime and hiding a corpse after a 12-day trial in June.
