Timothy claimed that his estranged wife, Rosa Kramer, attacked him and because he feared for his life, he shot her in self-defense. However, prosecutors emphasized that Timothy lied to Rosa’s sister and the police about the victim’s whereabouts in an attempt to cover up the murder. Timothy is charged with first-degree premeditated murder in connection to Rosa's death and aggravated animal cruelty in the shooting of their dog, Cody.
