as posted by the channelDarrell Rice was the FBI’s prime suspect in Lollie ‘ Julie’s double murder in Shenandoah National Park in May 1996.
Rice was arrested & charged for their murders - & then released. However, the charges were dismissed without prejudice, thereby allowing the case to be brought back for trial whenever prosecutors saw fit. There’s also the matter of the four year sting operation to try and elicit a confession….
In a bizarre & shocking plot twist Darrell Rice was killed just before 10 p.m. on July 5. Rice’s longtime legal advocate, Deirdre Enright, said her efforts to reach Rice had been unsuccessful in the days since the DNA announcement where the FBI revealed the man who actually sexually assaulted abducted murdered Lollie and Julie was Walter Jackson.
It turns out Rice may not have even known he had been exonerated.
