YouTube Description
as posted by the channelIn 2016 Natalie Queiroz was eight month's pregnant when she was stabbed 24 times from behind by a man who hid his face. That man was Babur Raja. Both Natalie and the baby fought for their lives and have been fighting for their lives once again, owing to a back door policy change which allows domestic abusers and stalkers to be transferred early to Cat D open prison. This update is a Crime Analyst exclusive.
In this episode Laura and Natalie discuss:
1. the update which is that Raja's open prison move has been revoked;
2. how long this is for and what this revocation actually means;
3. the impact this has had on Natalie, her daughters and her family;
4. what it's been like living in fear and with risk and uncertainty;
5. what professionals must consider when risk assessing and managing domestic abusers and stalkers;
6. how you can help and what needs to change.
Laura asks Natalie an important question - why she didn't think her case was domestic abuse related. You need to hear the mind blowing answer. This is an emotional update highlighting the victim's journey at each stage of the process and how it feels to be an afterthought in a system that wraps around the offender's need and right to freedom over and above the victim and women's safety.
Listen, share, and amplify.
