In UT v. Tracey Grist, the jury heard key phone calls as Matthew Restelli’s mother returned to the stand to testify about her son’s murder.

She testified that she learned about Matthew’s death on July 12, 2024, through a phone call. During Thursday’s proceedings, jurors also heard calls she had with Tracey Grist, Matthew’s mother-in-law, and Kathryn Restelli, his daughter-in-law, regarding his death.

Prosecutors allege that Tracey Grist conspired with her children to kill Matthew Restelli. Those allegations are now being examined in court as the trial continues.

This video breaks down the testimony, the significance of the recorded calls, and why this moment may be important for the jury.
