What is Progressive Christianity? Alisa Childers examines the history of theological liberalism and how “Emergence Christianity,” has become a prominent form of post-modernism in today’s society, particularly in the Evangelical Church. Leaders of this New Age movement argue that traditional statements of faith lead to ex-communication from the church, while logic, reason, and science provide the path to truth. Childers discusses how Progressive Christianity rejects core historic doctrines of faith, including acts of justice and good works being considered the fruit of faith and convictions. Watch to learn more about how Progressive Christianity has reinvented itself to appeal to today’s youth.
