Elsey went on to work for President Truman and later returned to government service at the end of Lyndon B. Johnson's presidency -- and while Richard Nixon was campaigning for the White House. In this oral history recorded for the Richard Nixon Presidential Library, Elsey begins by telling a story about one of his encounters with Winston Churchill. He is interviewed by Nixon Library Director Timothy Naftali.
