For eight consecutive Sundays beginning on July 29, American History TV airs interviews with former congresswomen, focusing on their political careers, first congressional campaigns, committee positions, and the role of women in politics.

We begin the series with Republican Susan Molinari who represented New York in the U.S. House from 1990 to 1997, and served as House Republican Conference vice chair. Before her interview, we'll hear from U.S. House of Representatives historian Matthew Wasniewski (wahz "NEWS" kee) and oral history manager Kathleen Johnson who conducted the interviews.
